Large CS-style tin drum canteen (approx. 8" diameter) with convex "ringed" faces and a screw-on spout (pat. date 1858). Linen sling stenciled "UCV Camp 204 Richmond, VA" (George Picket Post). Identical to reunion canteen pg. 174 Civil War Canteens, by Sylvia & O'Donnell. There is an outside chance that this specimen dates back to the Civil War.
