Product Information
CSA Richmond Carbine, dated 1862, 58 Cal. with a very good bore. All metal has a dark patina matching throughout. This gun has never been cleaned.!!! The walnut stock is orig. Harpers Ferry wood, cut and spliced to shorten it from a musket stock to a carbine stock length. This is as it should be for the early war Richmonds. The stock is missing the rear sling swivel as it appears it has been gone for a very long time. A set of initials along with many handling marks attest to its wartime usage. The ramrod has a crude blacksmith forged tip and adds to the southern charm of a field repair. It is at present stuck in the stock. The front, rear sight, brass nose cap, barrel, bands and lockplate are Richmond while the butt plate is Harpers Ferry. I first saw this carbine 14 years ago in my shop when a gentleman from Winchester brought it in for me to appraise. It was the only civil war gun he had which he purchased years before in Virginia. He told me that when he was ready to sell he would call. Of course we all have heard that before but this time darned if I didn't get a call last week. So here it is and has never been on the market and as fresh and unmessed with as they come outside of being dug. Don't miss this one as they only come along every 14 years. (for me) and very fairly priced. Price: $12500.00 Product Code: F467
