M1884 US Springfield Trapdoor Carbine

Mfg. circa 1886-1889 with Buffington rear sight w/ letter "C" on leaf. Serial #450xxx. Qty. made approx. 20,000. Barrel has nice even brown patina with good markings, sight has 90% of original blued finish. Breech retains good case color with sharp markings. Lock has sharp Eagle and markings. Wood is in good condition with normal handling marks and wear w/ number "55" stamped at rear butt tang. Cleaning rod in butt - complete and original.
