M1863 Sharps Carbine

.52 Caliber with a good bore. Serial #C15XXX. All metal parts has a nice even brown patina with good clear markings. Long range site is complete. Pellet primer is missing the interior spring and cap cover. One tang screw, sling bar screw and frame appear to have been replaced. Wood is in average condition with no cracks but showing an interesting pattern on both sides of stock and wrist of tack marks with indentation in the wood and a lot of the tack shanks minus the brass heads still in place. Consistent with the way Indians would decorate their guns during the Indian War. A well used gun - if only this gun could talk.
