UNFIRED! Excellent Condition. 58 caliber - 40" barrel, standard proof marks at breech plus "WCK" inverted on right side and 1858 date on top. The lockplate is also dated 1858 on the tail and stamped "U.S./HARPERS FERRY" ahead of the hammer. It has a sliding ladder type long range rear sight. The flat opposite the lock has two script cartouches, "JAS" and "LB", plus "WCK", all are clear and sharp. It has a brass nose cap, all other mountings of iron, and was made without a patch box. It is fitted with a standard tulip head ramrod. All iron surfaces are bright having all markings clear and sharp, now has dried grease in many areas. The Maynard tape system is complete and operable. Outstanding stock has sharp crisp edges, raised grain, and clear well struck cartouches.
