M1842 Springfield Musket

Product Information

This musket is a 69 cal. smoothe bore, wtih a good bore. All metal parts have been cleaned with some heavy pitting near the nipple bloster. The markings are clear with no barrel marks on the tang. Mechanics are good. The walnut stock is good with a crack and wood filler at the rear of the lock plate.
The lock plate date is 1848. MEXICAN WAR as well as Civil War usage.
Good wall hanger for the money.
