M1842 Harpers Ferry Smooth Bore Musket Dated 1852

69 Caliber with a poor bore. Barrel is in good condition with very fine textured pitting. Harpers Ferry proofs are on the barrel with a good 1852 tang date. Lock has sharp markings with the same finish and an 1852 lock date. Walnut stock is in good condition showing typical wear and 2 cartouches on the stock flat. This is obviously a gun that was used during the Civil War. Ramrod is original but is very tight in the channel probably due to dirt and corrosion in the ramrod channel.
