M1841 Harpers Ferry Mississippi d1846

54 Caliber with a very good bore with heavy rifling. Dated 1846 on barrel tang and lock plate. The barrel has a nice brown patina with no rust overall with very good markings on the barrel and the lock. Brass has a nice mellow patina. Walnut stock is in very nice condition with usual handling marks. Barrel bayonet lug is set to handle a M1855 Rifle Bayonet (not having the Harpers Ferry key way). Stock flat is marked "OHIO" - probably a State issued militia piece of Mexican War usage.
