A very early 1st mod, ser # 545 carbine. It is in 52 cal. rimfire with an exc. bore. The barrel has 85% of the org. blue with the lock plate and breech retaining good case color. It is brass mtd. with the barrell band, trigger guard and butt plate having a dark mustard patina. The one piece walnut stock is in exc. condtion. There are two good cartouches on the stock flat. It is very unusual to find one of these in this condition because they were all issued in 1862-63 and used very hard. This is the best condition I have ever seen. Don't miss this one!
