Product Information
This little beauty is from the famous Stagecoach Museum Gun Collection and is shown in their book on page 90 number #495. The gun was made by N. Gillon in the late 1850's under the Belgium patent of Aug. 21, 1849 taken out by Col. Colt for their liscense to mfg. these guns. N Gilon and L. Ghaye are the two most recognized for making guns under that liscense. This gun is in near mint condition and does not appear to have been fired. It is a 32 cal. pocket revolver with a floral motif engraved on the cylinder. Proof marks are a crown and the initial M underneath. There is a 49 stamped behind the triggerguard denoting the Model 1849 Pocket. Colt Brevettes are a part of any complete Colt collection.
