All metal surfaces  have no pitting with about 60% of orig. blue. There is some case color on frame and loading lever. The brass surfaces has some silver wash left. Walnut grips are excellant with the orig. varnish finish. A very nice example.

A 44 cal, English made Double Action revolver by R. Adams,,,London,England. The gun has has beautiful engraving overall with sharp lettering and edges. All the metal was blued with about 85% remaining. The grips are fully checkered. The Adams Patent NO. is 23,269R on both the frame and cylinder. The ser. No. is B7618. Mechanics are 100%. The accessories are a Brass bullet mold,cleaning jag,powder flask, perc. cap tin,screwdriver, nipple wrench and oil can. All in fine condition. The case is an original walnut box with green felt lining and all period.

A 31 cal. six shot percussion revolver. Mechanics are 100%. The barrel and cylinder have about 95% of orig. blue. The frame, loading lever and  hammer have very a very nice case color. Mfg. in 1862-63 with a total of 300. A very good condition and rare revolver.

C.S. Pettengill D.A. Pocket Revolver   C.S. Pettengill D.A. Pocket Revolver

This revolver was made for Pettengill by Rodgers,Spencer & Co. in the late 1850's. Total made about 425. It is a 31 cal. double action with a 4in. octagonal barrel. The blue is about 75%, with some lightness that does not appear to be from usage. All edges are sharp and stampings are clear. All metal surfaces have a very nice scroll engraving. The walnut grips are in fine condition with a very small chip on the right grip at the bottom inside edge. The ser. #  46  stamped on the bottom of the grip frame and under the loading lever on the barrel. Mechanics are 100%.             A very handsome and rare  gun that  was probably cased at one time.

Colt Brevette   Colt Brevette
This little beauty is from the famous Stagecoach Museum Gun Collection and is shown in their book on page 90 number #495. The gun was made by N. Gillon in the late 1850's under  the Belgium patent of Aug. 21, 1849 taken out by Col. Colt  for their liscense to mfg. these guns. N Gilon and L. Ghaye are the two most recognized for making guns under that liscense. This gun is in near mint condition and does not appear to have been fired. It is a 32 cal. pocket revolver with a floral motif engraved on the cylinder. Proof marks are a crown and the initial M underneath.  There is a 49 stamped behind the triggerguard denoting the Model 1849 Pocket. Colt Brevettes are a part of any complete Colt collection.

This revolver comes in a 32 Cal. rimfire six shot with a 5 3/4" barrel. Made in 1861-63 in Worcester Mass.with only a few hundred mfg. All markings are clear. The barrell and cylinder have about 98% orig. blue. The brass frame has a nice patina never having been polished. The walnut grips are in fine condition. Mechanics are 100%. A very nice and rare gun.

This is a single action 12mm pinfire revolver. The barrel and cylinder retain about 95% of the orig. blue. The frame,triggerguard,backstrap and butt cap are case colorered with some still visable. The walnut grips are in fine condition. All stampings are clear and sharp edges to the metal. Mechanics are 100%. A very nice example. This was also called the Navy Model because of the round triggerguard.

The barrell and cylinder have approx 85% of the orig blue which is starting to tone down. All edges are sharp showing little wear. The lettering is sharp and clear with the cylinder scene being a sharp 99%. The frame has 50% of the orig case color along with the loading lever. The trigger guard and backstrap have 70% of the silver finnish with a name on the butt of the backstrap (can't read well) with Richmond under it. The walnut are exc. with the orig. varnish intact. Tlhe walnut case is in exc. condition along with the orig velvet linning and KEY. The Colt Patent bullet mold is exc. along with  a nipple wrench,cap tin with caps and correct powder flask. There are even some old round balls. This is a very attractive cased set with a lot of condition.

A nice wartime revolver in 36Cal. Ser.# 164356 mfg in 1863. All metal has a nice patina with approx. 50% of the orig. blue. There is no rust or pitting except where the barrel bottom fits to the frame on the ser #. This is from being in a holster. The cylinder scene is about 50%. The walnut grips are orig and in fine condtion. The brass has a nice patina. The gun indexes properly and is tight. All numbers match including the wedge.

Overall metal surfaces have been lightly cleaned with some pitting on muzzle end of barrel and loading lever ~ it appears to have been in a holster. The barrel address and other markings are sharp and clear. Cylinder scene is approx. 50%. Brass has been lightly polished. Walnut grips are in good condition with a cartouche remnant on left grip. Action is tight and in 100% working order. Martial "US" is stamped under "Colt's Patent" on left side of frame. Martial Navy's are hard to find.

The barrel has about 85% of its arig. blue with sharp lettering. The cylinder scene
 is about 50% with a good ser #. The frame and backstrap have 85% of its orig color
with sharp Numbers on the bottom. Tlhe walnut grips are in exc. condition with 98% of
the orig. varnish.Mechanincs are very good and tight. The walnut box is orig with the orig
velvet lining and in fine cond. The powder flask is in vg cond. The brass bullet mold is
orig and Colts Patent marked. The cap tin is period with caps.
Overall a very attractive cased Colt.

The brass is a nice light mustard color.The cylinder scene is about 50%. All edges are sharp. The walnut grips are very nice with the left grip being cartouched. There are some hammer marks on the bottom as you might expect. The mechanics are 100% and tight. All and all a very nice early 4 screw  revolver mfg. in 1861.

This revolver has great condition, military service and one of the first made with ser # 8 on the frame under the grips. The barrel and cylinder have about 80% of the orig blue. The frame, backstrap and trigger guard are weaker in color but very pleasing. The walnut grips both have a good cartouche and in fine condition. The double action mechanics are 100% working condition. All markings are clear and edges are sharp. The muzzle has a very small amount of pitting probably from holster storage. This is the best and earliest I have ever owned. A super nice and used gun.

.36 Caliber. Correct serial numbers under grip - Serial #1454 & 1539. On reverse side of frame under grip is an inspector mark - "MM" stampings are those of M. Moulton, Armory Sub Inspector, 1861. "H" inspectors marks on the revolver may be those of Benjamin Hannis, Armory Sub Inspector, 1861. Total Government purchase qty. 11,984. All metal parts are smooth with sharp edges and good sharp markings. Barrel has some remnants of blue with no rust or pitting. Walnut grips are in very good condition with a cartouche of the left grip. Martially marked Savage Navy's are not easy to come by. Mechanics are 100%.

Serial # 709. 36 Caliber with a good bore. Blued barrel has approx. 60% original blued finish. Frame has good markings with a nice silver finish overall. Walnut grips are in very good to fine condition. 350 total mfg. between 1854-1857 with a serial range of 470-950. Basically a miniature version of their breech loading carbine complete with a pellet primer. A very hard to find gun!
