Short configuration. Block measures 1 3/4" high x 7 3/4" long x 1 1/2 wide. Outside dimensions of box: front flap 9 1/2" ~ back 8". Leather has moderate crazing all stitching appears to be good and tight. Box is complete with closure strap, belt loops and sling buckles.

M1864 Cartridge Box
58 Cal. - Mfg. by E. Metzger, Phila. Pa. The box also has a sharp sub inspection cartouche. All stitching is tight with no tears. The U.S. embossed on the front flap is very sharp. The inner tins are all original. The inner flap has some collection numbers on it. Overall in exc. condition and becomming very scarce in this condition.

Zouave Pattern 1845 French Cartridge Box
