Excavated from the Richmond Defenses.
The Broun was a late war shell. The nose is rounded with bourrelet ring and would have had a copper sabot extending below the base, a technology copied by the federals later, however the sabot flew on most fired examples. Produced lat in the war, metal quality is usually poor. Cast for a wood fuse.
