CS Oval "ROPE" Buckle on Leather Belt
"This CS Waist Belt is known as the "Rope Border" because of the
twisted rope design lining the rolled edges of the Plate. The plate was mfg. under Confederate Government contract and closely follows CS regulations. These attractive die stamped sheet brass Plates were
issued to Western Theater troops. The belt appears to be original to the buckle and was at one time part of the Steve Mullinax Collection." *
